Class 5 have thoroughly enjoyed their art unit of 'printing'. We have looked closely at the work of William Morris and the creation of patterns inspired by nature.
Nursery had a very exciting week for Science Week! We tried to make windows in blocks of ice using salt, warm water and cold water. We found out that warm water worked really well. We tried to identify different fabrics using only our sense of touch. We investigated the different types...
Our week kicked off with a fantastic visit from the 'Wonderdome School Planetarium Show' for all classes followed by lots of hands-on activities across school! An exciting week for all!
We loved celebrating World Book Day again this year! Dressed in some fantastically creative costumes, we spent time sharing our favourite stories with our friends. We also enjoyed listening to 'Billy's Bucket' and designed and described our own imaginary buckets.
As part of our current French topic, keeping healthy, we had great fun learning a traditional French playground game. Children enjoyed playing 'jouons au ballon' and were brilliant at remembering all the new words.

Class 4 and 5 visited 'The Brewers Pride' in Ossett to learn more about Reginald Earnshaw, the youngest person to lose his life in the Second World War.
Class 5 enjoyed singing as part of our 'Creative RE' day in school. They performed this for both children and parents during our SANGAM assembly.
Class 5 worked together to recognise the meaning of a variety of ordnance survey symbols. We couldn't quite believe how many there were!
