School Newsletter 11

Dear Parents/ Carers,

We are rapidly coming to the end of the spring term in school. School Closes for Easter on Maundy Thursday – 13th April, following the Stations of the Cross service led by Year 6 in church at 2pm. All members of our school and parish community are welcome to attend.

 Lenten Fundraising

The children in each class have planned a week of fundraising activities for our Lenten Charities. In 2017, we are raising money for The Good Shepherd Appeal, CAFOD and Cystic Fibrosis.

Thank you for your support for these activities. When we have final totals we will let you know how much we have raised as a school community for our chosen Lenten charities.

Easter Activities

The Mini Vinnies have been working closely with the Parish SVP to prepare and then deliver some Easter activities for children, followed by a child-led Stations of the Cross on Good Friday 14th April. This event has also been advertised through the church bulletin. It will take place in the Parish Centre at 10am – 11am, everyone is welcome to attend. Please either let the SVP members at church know names and numbers or let us know in school. This is just to enable sufficient resources to be bought and prepared.

Easter Garden

We have received a request from the Parish for families to make an Easter garden for one of the 10 windows in church. If your family would like to make an Easter garden, please contact Helen O’Brien either at church, on the playground or via email:
