‘An inspired learning community with Jesus Christ at our centre’

Dear Parents,

Advent Nation

Fr. Richard has organised this Advent celebration on Wednesday 7th December at 6:30pm – An hour of friendship and celebration led by the Friars of the Renewal from Bradford, followed by refreshments. Open to KS 2 pupils. Further details and parental consent forms are available from Fr. Richard.

Wheelchair Foundation

St Ignatius Parish is asking us to save barcodes from Yorkshire tea boxes and any Yorkshire Tea products including cakes and biscuits. For each barcode, Yorkshire Tea will donate from 10p-£1.50 to the Foundation, providing basic wheelchairs worldwide. The cost of one wheelchair is £75.

If Yorkshire Tea is your cup of tea – then send any barcodes either into school or put in the collection box at the back of church.

Hampers for SVP

We have been asked if we would make hampers up for the needy in our Parish by the SVP. This was a really successful enterprise last year and I know the hampers were greatly received.

The SVP work closely with our school Mini Vinnies and they will get together in the last week of term to make up the hampers for distribution near Christmas.

We will start collecting items in school from 1st December. Please be generous and consider some luxury items rather than just basics – a real Christmas treat for the receiver.

Christmas Fair

The Friends are kindly organising the Christmas Fair on Friday 9th December. This will take place in the Parish centre from 2pm. Donations of chocolates, teddies, toys and cakes would all be greatly received. (Send in to school the week of the fair – cakes on the day.)

Parents, who are able, can take their children from school from 2pm to the fair. All children will have the opportunity to go across as classes if parents are unable to attend. Please send them with some money to spend as this is a fundraising event.
